When antibiotics were first discovered in 1928
by Alexander Fleming they were heralded as a breakthrough in modern
medicine. Bacterial infections that once were the cause of death
could now be controlled. Antibiotics helped to completely eliminate
scourges like smallpox and have been successful in controlling
some serious conditions like tuberculosis, bacterial pneumonia,
septicemia and gonorrhoea. Yet even though these substances retain
great medicinal value, they can cause almost as much misery as
they take away. Constipation, diarrhoea, excess stomach gas, nausea
and thrush are just some of the side-effects of prolonged antibiotic
use. A breakdown in the body's natural resistance is another.
Today antibiotics are prescribed for any number of minor conditions.
In so doing, many infection causing bacteria have developed an
immunity to certain antibiotics. This has called for stronger
and stronger antibiotics to be found. Sometimes a patient may
need to try several kinds of this drug before they can successfully
destroy damaging bacteria. However, many of these conditions might
successfully be treated by more natural methods.
For example, Garlic is a natural antibiotic, with both anti-fungal
and anti-viral properties. It can be used to treat minor infections,
such as those that affect the ear, mouth, throat and upper respiratory
tract. Unlike conventional antibiotics, Garlic helps to build
the immune system so the body itself can join in the fight to
regain lost health.
The constant use of antibiotics which are suppressive in nature,
hide the problem and can also damage and weaken the immune system,
leading to digestive problems which in turn worsens the condition.
The skin is a barometer of everything that goes on inside the
body. Dry, blotchy, flaky or spotty skin is an overflow from a
toxic digestive system. A skin disorder signifies that the whole
'pond' is clogged. Antibiotics can keep the problem under control
temporarily but once they are withdrawn the condition will return,
often with a vengeance. By increasing the toxicity in the body,
antibiotics make the situation worse.
Antibiotics are not the answer for skin problems. No body wants
to be on antibiotics indefinitely. What is required is a safe,
natural and effective solution. The Sher System is safe and effective
for problem skin.

Accutane suppresses acne by shutting
down oil production in the sebaceous glands, making the skin dry,
extremely fragile and impairing its ability to regenerate new
epidermal cells. This 'wonder-drug' has been linked with depression
and suicide and the British Medical Association urges its members
to exercise more caution over issuing prescriptions for acne and
realise that the medical profession can no longer ignore the many
alternative therapies available to help skin problems.
“The amount of time devoted to dermatology when doctors
train is limited, so it is no surprise that, while skin problems
account for 12% of all GP consultations, in an estimated 45% of
cases the doctor will get the diagnosis wrong.” (UK All
Party Parliamentary Report on Skin). This excessive use of antibiotics
can be a deadly habit, but there is a safe and simple alternative.
The aim of The Sher System is to present an objective account
of the truth and to share with anyone who needs help, The Sher
System's knowledge of skincare and to spread factual information
that people have a right to know. Doctors have less and less time
to talk to patients and do not have all the answers. The great
tragedy of orthodox medicine is that doctors have always been
suspicious of anything new, but must now accept that there is
a huge public demand for complimentary medicine.
